2015 food trends


Looking back at last year’s post about 2014 food trend predictions, some where right on!  They knew Sriracha was going to be huge and it was!  It turned into a stout, has anyone actually tried this?

They were also off in some ways.  In July, a new look on saturated fats made everyone gasp and rethink what we have thought to be true the past 50 years.

Next year, here is what is in store- according to Finedininglovers.com

  • Matcha tea.  I discovered my love for matcha this year at a local coffee shop and have been making iced lattes with it often before work.  It gives you a more gradual caffeine boost instead of all at once.
  • Bone broth for healing.  I have made a batch once at home to help with my back and it was tasty!
  • Smoky flavors.  We have a new spot in town that would be perfect for this!
  • Kalettes.  A cross between kale and brussels.  Hmm, haven’t ever seen this yet!

  1. I would totally try it, BUT that stout sounds AWFUL!! HAHA. It probably doesn’t help that I don’t like Sriracha. I have to be careful where I say that out loud though.
